Friends.
Every member has an @username. Add friends by handle or from any profile; requests are mutual. Friends chat instantly with no caps, see each other first at events, and a block dissolves the friendship.

Browse by city and by date overlap with your trip; posts auto-expire after the dates pass. HUK never handles money or bookings — people arrange details together.

Signup is six steps.
Display name, @username with a live availability check, age, bio, location, photo. Nothing else is asked. The free tier has two soft caps: 5 new message requests per day and 1 active group.

HUK opens on Events.
The app now starts on a Netherlands-wide events feed: hundreds of queer events, pulled daily from the community’s own calendars and deduplicated. RSVP with private-by-default visibility (Just me / Friends / Attendees / Everyone), approximate attendance counts, a personal calendar, a city filter — and any member can host their own event.

Post your place (city, dates, free / small fee / paid) or find a queer couch when you travel. Applications happen in normal chat. HUK never processes payments or bookings.

We flipped the model: everything in the app is free for everyone. HUK Unlimited (the renamed paid tier) only removes usage caps and unlocks the full list of who waved at you. No ads in either tier. Pricing unchanged: €1.99/wk, €4.99/mo, €39.99/yr. 1-week free trial.
